What we store and why
We store the email address and credentials needed to sign in, along with the content you add to your profile: name, links, text and images. We use them to maintain your account and display your page.
What others can see
Your page is public: anyone who opens it can see the content and contact details you have chosen to make visible.
When you share a profile, the social network or messaging app may cache a preview of its public content. That copy may take time to update even after you change your profile.
Session and language
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. If you change the language, your browser may save your choice.
Invitation codes
Some profiles let you continue an invitation to an external service. If you open one with an invitation code, your browser remembers it for that profile for up to 30 days after the latest arrival with a valid code. Codes for different profiles remain separate. You can remove them by clearing privtr.ee site data in your browser.
The code is removed from the visible address. It is used only in links configured by the profile owner and is sent to the external service when you open them. privtr/ee receives the code in the initial request and when handling that link, but does not include it in profile statistics. If your browser blocks storage, the invitation can work during that visit without being remembered when you return.
Profile statistics
We record views when a profile is displayed and clicks on its links so its owner can see totals and reporting periods. Statistics do not store IP addresses, browser user agents or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not use cookies for this measurement.
Each page load uses a random receipt that expires after 24 hours to avoid counting retries more than once. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Views do not represent unique people and exclude previews, preloads and bots we can recognize.
YouTube videos
Videos display a local card. Our server downloads the thumbnail from YouTube and stores it on privtr/ee. Your browser receives that image from privtr/ee without connecting to YouTube. If the thumbnail is unavailable, a neutral cover is shown. Your browser only connects to YouTube when you press Play or open the Watch on YouTube link.
When you play a video, the youtube-nocookie.com player loads with YouTube privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube receives connection data, such as your IP address and browser information. This mode limits personalization; it does not prevent all communication with YouTube.
You can read the Google privacy policy.
Profile deletion and backups
If you request deletion of your profile, we remove it from the live service. Its data may remain temporarily in backups until they are replaced or deleted. To request deletion or correct your data, email privtree@privacidad.me.
