Start with what someone needs

Write down what a visitor should be able to do: see your work, find a project or get in touch. Build the page around those actions. A personal phone number, home address or detailed schedule usually does not help. Use a public contact channel if you need one, and keep information intended for a small group somewhere else.

Review destinations before cleaning links

Your link page is only the first stop. Open each destination and check what people will find there. The editor can offer to remove familiar tracking parameters such as utm_source or fbclid. Review the proposed change, use Undo if needed and save only when the address still does what you intend. Invitation codes, unknown parameters and signed or sign-in links can be necessary.

Know what search exclusion does

The profile privacy settings let you request no indexing by search engines. This does not make your page private or instantly remove old search results. Anyone with the address can still open the profile. Messaging apps may also keep a preview after you change the page. Think about those copies before publishing something you might later want to withdraw.

Decide whether you need measurement

You can pause new profile visits and link click counts while keeping the history already recorded. The page and its links remain usable. Enabled statistics are aggregate counts without visitor IP addresses or persistent visitor identifiers. That limited measurement is separate from session cookies and from connection information processed to deliver and protect the service.

Check images and public contact fields

Look beyond the written biography. A photo may show a home address or a document, and a published contact card makes its included fields available for download. Review the card and file before sharing them. A public PGP key can also contain names or email addresses within the key material even when its card mainly displays a fingerprint.

Review the published page as a visitor

Open your address while logged out and on a phone-sized screen. Check visible fields, image readability and destinations. Hide content that no longer needs to be public, then save. Return to this review when your circumstances change. Editing the page changes what privtr/ee publishes now; it cannot remove someone else's earlier screenshot or downloaded file.
